The make up artist industry often requires materials that allow swift development of unique proposals to meet unusual needs. Clay meets these demands and can be used to manufacture creatures, robots, body armor, fangs, costumes, wounds, weapons and numerous other one-time use props. Characters or creatures can be sculpted and then scanned for digital surface data. Once the surface data is collected the digital image can be colored, made to move or modified for use on a flat screen.
